Why does Lady Maria appear in The Hunter’s Nightmare?
At an unknown time, Maria lost her beloved weapon, threw it into a well when she could no longer bear it, and mysteriously disappeared into the hunters’ nightmare. Some believe that this is due to the atrocities committed by the hunters in the fishing village.

Lady Maria of the Astral Clock Tower is a huntress who guards the entrance to the Fishing Town and is the main antagonist and boss of Bloodborne The Old Hunters.
Lady Maria Bloodborne doll?
The doll is based on Lady Mary, a student whom Herman was very fond of. After Maria’s disappearance, Herman obsessively tried to reproduce her in doll form. The doll itself is exactly the same size and appearance as Maria, as well as the same item.

Maria’s fate. Mary’s ultimate fate is never explicitly stated, but it is implied that Mary committed suicide. In the Astral Clock Tower, we find Lady Mary bent over a chair. When we meet her, she is clearly dead, at least as dead as a conscience can be.
