Getting kicked out of AIT doesn’t happen. That’s not to say it doesn’t happen, it’s just extremely rare. People don’t usually get kicked out unless they are so badly broke, there is a major disciplinary issue, lack of housing etc etc. Most recycle or are sent to another AIT to qualify for another MOS.

When you arrive at the training camp, your fate is not yet sealed. Even if you are now on active duty, the army command can dismiss you with impunity for the first 180 days of service. The official term for this is entry-level split. Boot camp is the best time because the army has just started training.
