Wanda Vásquez Garced (born July 9, 1960) is a Puerto Rican politician and attorney who served as Governor of Puerto Rico from August 7, 2019. Prior to her tenure as Governor, she was Attorney General from 2017 to 2019. Member of the New Progressive Party and the Republican Party of Puerto Rico, Vázquez Garced is the second female governor in the history of Puerto Rico, after Sila María Calderón, who served as governor from 2001 to 2005.
