Tony Townley was born in the United States of America. There is not enough information about the early life of him and the parents of him. As for his education, he studied at the University of Georgia. From 1980 to 1982 he studied at the university for two years. In 1982 he entered the College of Business Administration at Georgia Southern University. In 1986 he graduated in business administration from the university.

Speaking of his career, he began in November 1988 as CEO of leading mortgage company Southern Mortgage & Lending Corporation. He was also president of the company. Tony worked for the company for six years and two months and left the company in December 1994.

In September 1994, he joined Zaxby’s Franchising Inc. as CFO and served in this role for over 17 years until November 2011. Then, in November 2011, he co-founded the Zaxby’s restaurant brand. He was also executive vice president of a hotel brand.

As co-founder, Tony is responsible for defining the mission, vision and overall direction of the Zaxby franchise. He also leads the management team and oversees the overall growth of the company, including financial, legal and risk management. Tony currently runs over 140 of Zaxby’s 910 restaurants.

Tony lost his son John Lewis on Saturday, October 3, 2021. John was the victim of a double homicide in the Five Point neighborhood of Athens, Georgia. John was taken to a local hospital shortly after he was shot and killed. However, due to his severe injuries, he did not survive. A 30-year-old woman was shot with him and is currently in critical condition, having also suffered serious injuries.

According to Athens County Police spokesman Lt. Clarke. Sean Barnett, a 32-year-old man from Dunwoody, was arrested as a suspect at the scene. The investigation is ongoing, although no charges have yet been filed against him. Barnett also said preliminary information suggests the incident is related to domestic violence.
