She made her singing debut in the film industry at the age of 17 with the song “Ee Velalo Neevu” in the Telugu film “Gulabi” (1995).
In 1997, Kannada made his debut in the music industry with the song “Kesari Haravu” in the movie “Bhoomi Gita”. In the same year, she also sang songs for the Tamil industry and made her debut with the song “Unakkoruthi” from the movie “Punniyavathi”.
