Sunil Lari, known for his role as Lakshmana in Ramayana Ramananda, was born into a middle-class family on January 9 in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh. Since he was little he has actively participated in the extracurricular activities that take place at his school. Since then, he has developed a keen interest in acting. His father was just a professor at Madhya Pradesh Medical College. Lari spent most of his early days in Madhya Pradesh, but was soon transferred to Bhopal.
Family
Sunil was born into a middle class family in Madhya Pradesh. Sunil’s father, Dr. Shihar Chandra Lari was also a professor at the Madhya Pradesh medical college. Sunil’s father died in 2012. Her mother’s name is Tara Lari. Sunil has three siblings, one sister and two brothers. His siblings are Shailendra Lari and Shashendra Lari.

Sunil Lahari has been married twice in his life. He first married Radha Sen, but not everything went smoothly between them. So he decided to break the bond and married his second wife, Bharati Pathak.

Career
Sunil Lari began his career with roles in television series. He doesn’t have a good history when it comes to movies, so he moved to Mumbai from Bhopal.
Sunil made his debut in 1980 in Naxalites directed by Ahmed Abbas and starring Mithun Chakraborty and Smita Patil. Although the film failed at the box office, Lari easily found work in Mumbai.
Sunil did not like the film and it was not very successful. So Lari decided to move to the small screen where she made a big name for herself, especially when she played the role of Laxman in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayana. Not only that, he has also been seen in various roles in numerous TV series including Dada dice ki kahanyan and Vikram Aur betaal. In 1990, he appeared in another popular TV show called Param Vir chakra as Lieutenant Rama Ragoba Rane.
Facts
- Sunil was not the first choice for the role of Lakshman in Ramayana, but the director wanted to play the role of Sanjay. Sanjay disputed the part that ended up benefiting Lari.
- After auditioning 150 actors, Sunil Lari was finally selected for the role of Lakshman.
- Sunil opened a production center in collaboration with his teammate Ramayan Anil and was also invited to the Kapil Sharma show with his team.
