Early life

Stephen Jackson was born on April 5, 1978 in Houston, Texas, United States. He was raised by a single mother, Judiette. His mother did her best to raise him. He had two jobs. Stephen also helped his mother by working at his grandfather’s soul food restaurant. He washed the dishes and cleaned the tables in the restaurant.

Regarding his education, he attended Lincoln High School. He also competed in the state championship as a freshman in high school. He subsequently transferred to Oak Hill Academy (Virginia). There he received AllAmerica Honors in 1996. Previously, he taught at the University of Arizona. However, due to poor SAT and ACT scores, he enrolled at Butler County Community College.

Steven was selected by the Phoenix Suns professional basketball team in the 1997 NBA draft. On October 30, Phoenix gave up and began playing for the La Crosse Bobcats continental basketball team. He played with the team for 2 seasons in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA).

Jackson then played for the New Jersey Nets in the 2001 season. He played 77 total games for the team, averaging 8.2 points per game. However, in 2001 he was released by the Nets. For the season, he averaged 11.8 points, 2.3 assists, and 3.6 rebounds.

In the 2003-04 season he averaged 18.1 points, 3.1 assists and 4.6 rebounds for the Hawks. He then signed with the Indiana Pacers, where he played for three years until 2007.

Jackson also played for two years with the Golden State Warriors from 2007 to 2009, the Charlotte Bobcats from 2009 to 2011, and the Milwaukee Bucks from 2011 to 2012.

He was later signed by the Los Angeles Clippers on December 10, 2013. He tried to show the best game for the team. Jackson averaged 1.7 points for the Clippers, who have played a total of 9 games. On July 22, 2015 he announced his retirement.
