She committed suicide on September 8, 2020 at her home in Hyderabad by hanging herself from the ceiling of her bathroom. She was taken to Hyderabad Osmania Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Her family reportedly blamed her ex-boyfriend Devraj Reddy for her death as he constantly harassed her for money and blackmailed her with private photos.
Following a complaint from his family, the Hyderabad Police filed an IPC Section 306 lawsuit against Devraj Reddy. According to police, no farewell notes were found at his home. They have launched an investigation into the case and further action will be taken once the autopsy report is handed over to the police.
