Early life
Silk Shocker (real name Vishonne King Miller) was born on June 18, 1985 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. She grew up with three older brothers. Miller lost one of her brothers, Kevin Miller, in a robbery in 1990. Her two older brothers, Master P and Murder C, are also rappers.

Silkk the Shocker released their debut album titled “The Shocker” in August 1996. After the album’s release, they changed their stage name to Silkk the Shocker. He started gaining praise after appearing in TRU’s Game’s Tru 2, Mystikal’s Unlady Like and Mia X’s Unlady Like.
Shocker gained further praise after appearing on his brother and sister’s hit album Master P Make ‘Em Say Uhh! The album was a huge success in the United States. Silkk then released his song titled “It’s Not My Fault” with his labelmate Mystikal. The song was well received by music lovers and has become one of their business cards. He continued to gain popularity after releasing the songs “Just Be Straight With Me” and “Move On”.
