Early life
St. John was born Carlos St. John Phillips on August 26, 1986 in Brooklyn, New York, USA. He grew up in Georgetown, Guyana, and lived between Guyana and East New York in Brooklyn for 3 years of his youth. He was raised by his mother, who was a preacher. Saint grew up in difficult financial conditions and even sold drugs to combat poverty.
Regarding his education, he first attended high school in Guyana and then South Shore High School in Brooklyn. He started making music at the age of 12. In fact, Saint was inspired by her brother, who loved rap very much. She prepares her first song during her first year of high school in Guyana.

By the time the album was released, most of the songs on the album had already received over 50 million streams across multiple platforms. In April 2020, she released another song titled “Roses”, which peaked at number one on both the Australian Singles Chart and the UK Singles Chart. For this song, Saint received the Grammy Award for Best Remix Recording of 2021.
