Early Life
Phil Dahlhausser was born in Baden, Aargau, Switzerland. His father is German and his mother is Swiss. However, when he was a child, his family moved to the United States. Phil attended Mainland High School in Florida, where he learned to play volleyball his senior year of high school. Phil started playing volleyball because his math teacher recommended it at the time.
It didn’t take him long to adapt and excel in the sport as he grew up listening to a lot of tennis. Phil then attended the University of Central Florida, where he was an active player on the club volleyball team and won numerous awards, including Most Valuable Player and the prestigious William J. Morgan Player Award.
