Norwood Young was born in the United States of America. He has a sister named Tanya Young Williams who appeared on the reality show Basketball Wives: LA. Norwood had a difficult childhood. As a child he was abused by a close relative. Yang said that he was tortured between the ages of 7 and 16. However, he did not report the attack to his family.
