Early Life
As a child, Rowe became an Eagle Scout in Troop 16 and served the Maryland School for the Blind while associated with them. She also received the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award for her achievements. Looking back on that childhood, Rowe mentioned how her experience with Eagle Scout increased her interest in storytelling and writing.
He attended Overlea High School, graduating in 1980. He also regularly attended Kenwood Presbyterian Church in his Maryland hometown. In her early years, she participated in various singing and theatrical choirs throughout the church, which over the years led to her passion for the arts.
