Matt Roloff was born on October 7, 1961 in San Francisco, California, United States. He was born with a degenerative short stature called diastrophic dysplasia, which led to fifteen surgeries as a child. Matt was born to his parents, Ron and Peggy Roloff, who often appear on Matt’s Little People’s Big World.
His parents, including his sister, are of average height and his younger brother Sam also suffers from diastrophic dysplasia and uses crutches. She lost her second brother Joshua, who died of a severe heart attack at the age of 34.
