Early Life
Kudlow attended the Elizabeth Morrow School before moving on to the Dwight Englewood School where he earned his bachelor’s degree. She then continued her studies at the University of Rochester, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in history.
Kudlow originally earned a master’s degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of International and Public Affairs, but other aspects of his life took over, so he decided to drop out of the program.

Kudlow began his career at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he was a junior financial analyst. He later decided to work for Wall Street firm Bear Stearns in the same position. At the same time, Kudlow was also active in political campaign work.
Because of this political campaign affiliation, he eventually joined the Ronald Reagan administration, where he began working as deputy director of economics for the Office of Management and Budget. Upon completion of this position, he returned to Bear Stearns, where he served as Chief Economist.
Kudlow remained in this position for the next 7 years, prominently campaigning on economic issues. However, this was also a time when he had personal issues with substance abuse. He later began working for CNBC, where he commented on his shows from a financial standpoint.
Some of the other organizations Kudlow has been involved with throughout his career include Empower America, of which he was a board member. He is also part of the Independent Institute and the American insurer Skandia Life Assurance.
Over the years, Kudlow’s work with the media has helped him bring his diverse ideas on economic issues to a broader audience. He also did a show with Jim Kramer called Kudlow and Kramer and then his own show called The Kudlow Report.
Following the election of Donald Trump as president of the United States, Kudlow will be appointed director of the National Economic Council. He assumed this position in 2018 and will remain in office until 2021.
Personal Life
During his life, Kudlow has been married three times, his first marriage was in 1974 with Nancy Ellen Gerstein. Their relationship ended acrimoniously, so Larry married a second time in 1981 to Susan Seacher. Five years later, however, Larry marries a third time to the happy Judith Pond.
Kudlow suffered from cocaine and alcohol addiction, which even forced him to quit his job and enroll in a treatment program for this sore. He would later convert to Catholicism, which would also help him overcome his personal problems.
