NS Flex is a product that you add to your personal OVchipkaart. You can do this one hour after ordering your new subscription at the NS ticket machine. After that you can travel immediately. If you do not yet have a personal OVchipkaart, you can request one when you place your order.
How do I activate NS Flex?
Enabling seed rice korting via the NS app
- Open the NS app and click More
- Sign in with your Mijn NS account.
- Select the OVchipkaart with NS Flex.
- Scroll down to Seed Rice Korting and select Enable
- Click Confirm
How do I change my NS Flex subscription?
Change to NS Flex at Mijn NS You can change your subscription to NS Flex at Mijn NS. After logging in, select Switch to NS Flex on the home page.
Can I use my OVChipkaart on the train?
If you take an OV chip with you, you don’t have to think about strip tickets or subway and train tickets. You can travel by train, tram, bus and subway with just one ticket.
How can I stop NS Flex?
If you have an NS Flex subscription and would like to cancel it instead of pausing it, you can do so each month through our customer service: via private message on Twitter or Facebook. via chat (daily from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.) by phone (24/7)
How does the OV smart card work?
When you board a bus, tram, subway or train, place your disposable smart card or anonymous OV smart card in front of the ticket reader. The green light and beep indicate that your card has been read. When you get off, place your card in front of the ticket reader again to pay.
Can I use OVChipkaart in Germany?
The Personal OV-Chip is intended for residents of the Netherlands, as a Dutch permanent address and bank account must be provided when applying for the card. Residents of Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg can apply for a personal OV chip via a Dutch bank account or PayPal.
