Early Life
Levin grew up in California, Los Angeles County, in a Jewish family. He attended Grover Cleveland High School, graduating in 1968. He then enrolled at the University of California, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 1972. To continue his education and law school, Leven chose to pursue a juris doctorate from the University of Chicago Law School, from which he graduated in 1975.
