Faith Evans was born as Faith Renee Jordan on June 10, 1973 in Lakeland, Florida, USA. She was born to Richard Swain and Helen Evans. Her mother, Helen Evans, was an African-American singer and her father, Richard, was a musician. She was raised primarily by foster parents, Johnny May and Orvelt Kennedy. Johnny is her mother’s cousin.
