Exo is a South Korean and Chinese boy band from Seoul, consisting of nine members: Xiumin, Suho, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, DO, Kai, and Sehun. Formed in 2011 by SM Entertainment, the group debuted in 2012. Their music spans genres like pop, hip hop, and R&B, as well as electronic dance music genres like house, trap, and synth pop. Exo publishes and performs music in Korean, Chinese, and Japanese. The group was ranked among the top 5 most powerful celebrities on the Forbes Korea Power Celebrity list every year from 2014 to 2018 and was called “the biggest boy group in the world” and “the kings of K-pop”. through the media.
