Early life
Erik Prince was born on June 6, 1969 in the Netherlands, Michigan, USA. He was born the youngest son of his parents Edgar D. Prince and Elsa. His father was a businessman who founded the Prince Corporation. He traveled the world with his father, visiting the battlefields of Normandy and the Dachau concentration camp in Germany.
Prince’s older sister, Betsy DeVos, was the United States Secretary of Education. For secondary education, she studied at Dutch Christian High School. She attended the United States Naval Academy for three semesters. She then enrolled at Hillsdale College in 1992, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in economics.
While in Hillsdale, Price worked as a volunteer firefighter and cold water diver for the Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department. He later became a paramedic.
