Chris Sheng was born on August 15, 1979 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Nothing is known of his youth or his parents. For his initial education, he enrolled in the Hong Kong International School.
He entered New York University in 1997 and graduated in 2001. Chris then moved to Pepperdine University where he majored in business administration and management. In 2003 he graduated from Pepperdine University.
