Early life
Charles Grodin was born on April 21, 1935 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. He was born to Orthodox Jewish parents, Theodor I Grodin and Lena. His father Theodore was a wholesaler and his mother Lena worked in the family store. He was the second son of Fedor and Lena. His older brother Jack is no longer in this world.
For his education, he attended the University of Miami. However, he dropped out of college midway to pursue an acting career. He later learned to play at HB Studio.
