Can I use other pouches with my FoodSaver?
Other plastic bags let air through. If you want to use your FoodSaver ® machine to reseal a bag, but not vacuum seal it (without removing the air first), you can use it on Mylar-type (strong, thin polyester) or plastic bags. rigid, not for other types. Is a FoodSaver worth it?
The food saver is made of thick plastic, less risk of freezer burn but better for storing loose meat. I would avoid vegetables. Frozen meat can be good in these bags for years. In particular, I wouldn’t mind if people refer to their own fish and game and need to store the meat for years to come.
