Seeley’s role as Mrs. Winston ended after the 1993 season, and the couple went public with their relationship following the NASCAR Awards banquet in December. Before the 1994 Daytona 500, exactly one year after they met at Victory Lane, Gordon booked a banquet room at a French restaurant in Daytona Beach where Gordon proposed to Seeley. The couple married on November 26, 1994. They had a home in Lake Norman, North Carolina, but were permanently evacuated due to fan intrusion. Later, the couple moved to Highland Beach, Florida. In March 2002, Seeley filed for divorce after allegedly accusing Gordon of adultery, and Gordon finally reacted.
