Before turning professional in 2006, Wisberger won several amateur tournaments between 2004 and 2006. He represented Austria at the Eisenhower Trophy in 2004 and 2006. He competed on the Challenge Tour in 2007 and 2008 and later earned his European Tour card through from a qualifying school during the 2009 term, but was unable to earn enough to keep his card.
Wisberger returned to the European Tour in 2011 and recorded four top-ten finishes, including two runners-up. He won the European Tour title twice in a row at Ballantine’s Championship in 2012, five shots ahead of him. This placed him in the top 100 of the official world golf ranking. He also won his second career title from him on the European Tour at the Lyoness Open in Austria.
