Adam Kinzinger was born on February 27, 1978 in Kankakee, Illinois, United States. He was born to parents Ras Kinzinger and Betty Jo. His father, Rus, is the CEO of religious organizations and his mother, Betty Jo, was an elementary school teacher. Adam spent his youth in Jacksonville, Florida.

Regarding his education, he graduated from Norman Community West High School in 1996 with a higher education. He later enrolled at the University of Illinois, where he graduated in 2000.
